XTS Internal Mic

Post by pluto1914 »

I am switching between an RSM and the internal mic on my XTS2500I. I notice when I Tx with the RSM my transmitted audio sounds fantastic conventional and astro. However when I use the internal mic on the portable it sounds muffled. I checked the TX Audio options under "Radio Wide" and the settings bewteen the internal mic and RSM are identical so one would assume that they should sound identical. Any ideas?

Now for my stupid question. Where do I assign my Individual ID for an Astro personality?

Thank you in advance!!

Conventional/ASTRO System/ASTRO System 1/General Tab/Individual ID ______

and if you want your radio to display something other than the ASTRO ID of other users you talk to then you can build your ASTRO Call List by going to:

Conventional/ASTRO Systems/ASTRO Call List/Open ASTRO Call List 1/Click on List Header/Enter Info

May be a dumb question, but are you using the mic that corresponds to the PTT button? e.g. not trying to use radio mic with RSM PTT, and RSM mic with radio PTT button.

Just asking because I've seen it done before...

No...I have the RSM disconnected when attempting to talk. So that wouldn't be possible.
