Sourcing Motorola/Astron desktop PS cable

Post by wa1tej »

I have a Motorola GM300 in the desktop base configuration with an Astron SL-14M PS. I'm adding a second radio & want to use the other outpur port on the PS. Motorola was no help & Astron stated that they only supply Motorola with the Molex-type PS connector & the unterminated red & black wires. Motorola then adds the polarized GM300/Radius-type radio connector. I am hoping to locate & purchase one of these complete cables.

Description: white plastic Molex-type polarized connector on one end, 4-5" of red/black wire, polarized Motorola GM300/Radius-type connector on the other.

Thanks!

Jack,

Two pin 'Trailer connectors' and cable is available at auto parts houses. Watch the polarity and cut the other end off and then connect in parallel with your existing cable/molex connector.

On the 4 pin Molex connector the second set of pin locations are in parallel with the first two.

The pins are Molex .093 female.
