Hi all,
I have the software and am attempting to program some new instant calls into a Zetron Model 25. Only problem is that I can't get the computer/software to initialize with the encoder. The software connects. I am able to use F5 to reset the unit. However, the command prompt doesn't show up and I am unable to enter programing mode by pressing "P". The switch on the back is selected to allow programming.
We have two of these encoders and the other one responds just fine, which leads me to believe that I'm not doing anything overly wrong. I did notice that the unit that I'm having trouble with beeps twice when it resets. The one that's good does not. Can anybody help me out? This unit is in an emergency services field communications mobile command unit, so I'd really like to get everything squared away. I'm hoping it's something simple.

Probably something that you have found by now but make sure that the enable switch on the back is in the correct position.
