How to charge for two-way radio repair

Post by turbovectorz »

Hi folks!

I am not businessman, I am really just a design engineer and hobbyist. But if I am to charge for two-way radio repair services, what are the ways to charge for it?

I have seen companies charge from $90 to $125 per hour plus parts?
Also, as low as, $45 per hour plus cost of parts, or even some kind of monthly maintenance contract?

Just curious, because a couple of companies would like to maintain around 150+ mixed radios (iCOM, Motorola, Kenwood, and Vertex).

Thanks all for you input!

Sincerely,

TVZ

This exact subject has been thoroughly examined and commented on in the past on this Board. A search should turn it up pretty readily.
