Astro P25 Mixed Mode Conventional Voting System

Post by RCITECH »

Can anybody tell me what data traffic is carried on the V.24 portion of a Hybrid Link during an analog received signal? I know that during analog transmit, the V.24 link is carrying the Astro digital keying information "DRC". I can't get a clear answer from the Moto techs on what's being sent on receive back to the ATAC3000 comparator for voting criteria. Could it be RSSI or SNR both or nothing? I doubt it's SNR because that has to be done back at the comparator after all the site links are taken into account. My RS-232 (V.24) data analyzer inline does not give me a clue as to the actual "information" being sent or received. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
