Motorola Motrac T power Plug pinout

Post by cahighwayman22 »

Anyone have the pinout of an Old T Power Radio, the all tube type, before the motrac? This is the no Vibrator type radio, and the model # is U43GGT-1130C.

I'll look for a manual, but don't hold your breath. I haven't touched one in 20 years. I'm thinking Clarkston VFD in MI.

Are you still looking for these as I have the vibrator manual handy...have to dig for the T power one, but the wiring was the same for both on 12v.

PM me off list if you want.

What I esentially need is the cable to control head wiring diagram, so I can wire a motrac control head to the radio if possible.

The T Power radios use different values for the Volume and squelch pots than the Mortac.
The T Power volume pot is 20 ohms and is really a speaker pad, the squelch control is a bias control for the squelch circuit. So the control heads are different enough to need a whole lot of rewiring.

Someone out here may have a T Power control head. They are di-cast, shadow gray color, with three octal sockets on the back cover.
The Twin V control head will work, made of sheet metal.

From the Sherman M. Wolf - Motorola FM Schematic Digest. Hope this helps:
