What radios do you own?: Radar Range

Orion Install Question.......

Post by JAYMZ »

This is sort of on topic but off topic as well. I have just recently defected to a GE Orion Low band mobile in my car. I can get the yellow egnition sense wire off the control head to turn the radio on and off with the ignition. Now mind you programming of this radio was done on a midnight shift just prior to vacation.....ie most definately missing something somewhere. Was kind of hoping someone could point me in the right direction to get the ignition sense to function properly on this radio. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx!!

You need to open the radio and move the jumper so that it is set for ignition, ONLY JUMPER.

Not sure about low band, but all other ranges have a slide switch on the audio/controller board to select ign/bat control. It's a tiny little thing and you have to look closely to find it.
