MT1500 Battery Gauge???

Post by rrfd43 »

OK, we got a bunch of MT1500 portables, VHF, with display. We have Impress batteries and charger. I noted on one portable that there is a battery gauge that came up, but the others don't have it.

What am I missing, and what makes it work? RSS or something else????

Have you tried some of the other batteries on the portable with the battery icon? If so do they show the icon, or not? If they do then it could be host firmware, update the firmware if needed. If they don't show the icon then I would try to re-initialize the batteries.

How do you re-initialize the batteries? I'm new to this Impress stuff.

I think I figured it out...put the battery back in the charger and force it to re-condition?
