MTX850LS transmit problem HELP!

I am trying to program my friend's MTX850LS for our 800MHz conventional system at work. We use only two channels at our department. Channel 1 is the repeater, and Channel 2 is the talkaround of Channel 1. I have the same exact radio, both model numbers match exactly. I opened up two instances of the CPS so as to make sure every value was the same so there should be no conflict there. The problem I am having is that the new radio will not transmit on Channel 1, but it receives perfectly, and it also works flawlessly on Channel 2, Tx/Rx with no problem. I even used the latest Tuner to make sure all of those values were to spec. I have a lot of programming experience and I am dumbfounded. Suggestions?

Besides verifying codeplug data, I would find out what frequency the radio is transmitting on while on channel 1. If it's transmitting channel 2 then you could have a bad channel switch. I don't remember if the 850ls is a display model or not. If it isn't then you'll have to program some bogus channels into the radio and test them on a monitor to see if the freq's match up with the channels assigned. Another thing could be the talkaround feature. As you have programmed in a talkaround channel you'll want to make sure no buttons are set for talkaround and the talkaround option is unchecked in the personality summary.

Sent the codeplug to Motorola after speaking with tech support via my MOL account. They had two techs check my codeplug and I did everything just fine and they couldn't find any issues whatsoever. They said that perhaps the radio isn't decoding the PLs and that I should send it in. The first thing I checked was to make sure I didn't have it in talkaround mode because I figured I have to had made a simple error and that was my first guess but that too was not the issue.
