MDC List display on XTS2500I

Post by Tim »

Hi Folks,

I had these radios programmed OK before they went back for 'reflashing'.

Now, I can't get the unit to pick up the alias' & display on the LCD when a
unit's MDC code comes out.

I've got the conventional personality set to use MDC call list 1, using MDC
as the signalling type, with the correct system # in place, also
have the List done with all of the unit #'s & names, but they
just don't display.

Host Version 12.00.17
DSP version 12.00.05

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tim

I believe if you go to the "Radio Configuration" tab then open the "Display & Menu" window you should see a tab that says "PTT ID". Open that tab and make sure the "ID Display" and "Scan ID Display" boxes are checked. This should bring the ID display back. At least it works on mine this way.

Hi JPU,

Yep, had em both checked, but did find something funny.

One of the radios (ex600) that I have has the PTT ID as pre, and it's display
works fine. It's just the 'Post' IDs that seem to have the problem.

Noticed that the 'End of Voice' time had been reset to 0. This is how long
the display is held after transmission. Set it to 3 sec, & now works fine
again. Guess with 0, there was no time for the post to display.

Thanks,

Tim
