PR1500 Scan Tone question

Post by MPDREO »

Does anyone know if there was ever an update that improved the engage/disengage scan tone from being the same tone for both functions to an escallating/de-escallating tone or anything so the user could tell if the radio was in scan or not??? Thanks.

There is.. If memory serves correct, starting at Host R10 on any model 1 (no display) Astro25 portable, you get a blinking green led when scan is enabled. And I can't remember if its Host R10 or R11, but when scan is slaved to a button, you get a 2 tone high/low when scan is enabled or disabled.. So yes, it is available, and carries true all the way through the current releases of R12/R13...

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
