BDN6671B Voiceducer no RX Audio

I purchased a NOS Motorola BDN6671B Voiceducer/Ear Microphone Kit, and for some reason I am not getting any audio into the ear piece..

The PTT switch works, as does the VOX, but I can't get any RX audio.

Anyone ever run into this problem? I have put in fresh batteries as well, and still no luck.
