MX-300 and MX-300S scan and encryption manuals

Post by ny1a »

Good evening, all. I am in need of manuals that cover either encryption or scanning or both for the MX series of radios. If any of you happen to have such in your files and would be willing to scan-and-e-mail or copy-and-mail, I would be excruciating grateful. Please contact me with what you have and your proposed cost to get it to me. I am working on an MX-S that has scan and encryption. The two features seem to interact, I am am not sure how, and the scan section seems to be dead. Athough I know the MX series quite well, I have never seen an MX with either scan or encryption before. As a result, I am flying blind. Your help will be fantastically appreciated.

I will look. I know I have manuals on one of the SP MX's that has scanning, and also for encrypted ones. You wouldn't want a cubic boatload of these radios, would you?

Update for those reading this thread. I received an encryption manual for the MX-300 courtesy of KI6GO. It has been a great help to me. I still need an encryption manual covering the MX-300S, and a manual for scan in the MX. If anyone can help me, it will be much appreciated. David, WA6NMF, indicated that he might have some manuals along these lines, but I haven't heard from him since his original post. Perhaps he has been too busy to pursue it during the holiday season. Any chance you might still find those manuals, David?

Thanks to everyone who has helped me so far in thus quest.
