GM300 Programming Help

Post by mykonos »

Hi all.

I am new to Batlabs, but have been using Motorola VHF/UHF radios on the amateur bands for some time.

I have a 146-174mhz GM300 which I want to programme for the 2M ham bands. I am using RSS R01.00.00. I can do everything with the RSS, transmit on the required frequency etc..., but the radio will not receive where I ask it too. I can enter the receive freq just fine. I can hear receiver noise/white noise (squelch open). Any help greatly appreciated.

What radios do you own?: MT500 with MODAT

I guess the first question is does the unit receive anywhere (not just in the ham band)? Have you heard the unit actually receive at all? Second question..what frequencies did you program in? Are you trying to go out of band? If so, maybe the VCO isnt locking. If it wont receive anywhere, IIRC there was a known problem with the 2nd osc crystal failing. Also interconnect pins between the RF board and the logic unit causing wierd problems. Use the search function on the board here, there is a wealth of info on these units.
