I have checked out Batlabs and searched the Batboard but I would like 100% confirmation of the pin outs. I am using a real Motorola RIB but am building a homebrew cable from a 3rd party HT1250/GP340 earpiece.
My 2 main questions are:
- are pin 8 (RX) and pin 9 (TX) already linked INSIDE the HT1250/GP340?? I ask this because the "earpiece" accessory connector already has a predrilled "hole" for a pogo pin at pin 8 on the accessory plug PCB (but no pogo soldered in) whereas pin 9 is just blank
- do I need the 10K resistor across pin 1 (GND) and pin 15 (BUS+) of the RIB DB25 plug
I have read that I don't need the Boot Control (pin 25 on RIB to pin 12 on radio) connected if I am just doing basic programming (no firmware flashing)
Thanks

Hi,
Answer 1: Pin 8 (RX) and 9 (Tx) are not already linked inside of the radio. You must link these pins at the universal radio connector side. It is important, otherwise your cable will be useless.
Answer 2: Yes, you need to put 10K resistor across pin 1 and pin 15 at the DB25 RIB connector side.
