HT1550/GP340 - any early firmware issues with latest CPS??

Post by g8tzl2004 »

I have a GP340, the European equivalent of the HT1220/HT1550.

I have the latest CPS to program the GP340 - so I will NOT have any "codeplug too new" issues!!!

But, I was wondering if there are any issues with using EARLY firmware and the latest CPS? I do not know which firmware version is currently in the GP340.

On other Motorola radios , you have to avoid using the latest CPS with early firmware.

So with the GP340/HT1550 , is it OK to use early firmware with the latest CPS??

Thanks

Just about the only issues you'll have is with the early firmware itself, and any bugs that it contains that have been fixed in later releases.

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
