Hi,

Forgive the newbness of the question, but is it possible to program a XTS2500/5000 radio using a Polaris PA-1 with a MTS2000 cable?

No. Although the accessory connector looks the same as the Jedi series radios, the XTS radios program with a completely different setup. There are both serial ribless & USB cables available for them. There are many posts on the subject, even some to build your own, if you have the ambition to do so.
