Q446 does not come with Q445, they are seperate. However, Q446 does come with Q806 Astro Digital operation.BikerScout wrote:I'm interested in the knowing what the following does.

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Clicked on that link and realized I have that brochure. Just never read it.
Any other options that are included with Q806?

Re: Flashcode Options Explained?
Nope, just Q446.BikerScout wrote:Any other options that are included with Q806?

Does a digital-equipped (conventional) XTS2500 8MEG w/ R12 include channel announcement?

Re: Flashcode Options Explained?
I'll have to check that out... though I find it to be a major annoyance.

Re: Flashcode Options Explained?
ok, another quick question. If a radio has Q806 ASTRO IMBE Digital Operation and H38 SMARTZONE Systems Operation, is it still capable of having conventional channels or would you need G48 Conventional Systems Operations to add conventional channels?
Re: Flashcode Options Explained?
H38 Smartzone is the highest system package you can have. So if it has H38, it will also do H37 Smartnet features, along with H35 Conventional operation.BikerScout wrote:ok, another quick question. Re: Flashcode Options Explained?
Somewhere, buried within the archives of this Board, is a complete, detailed, piece-by-piece explanation of how a thirteen-digit flashcode is put together, the combinations of numbers, what they mean, blah blah blah. I forget who wrote it but it's a number
of pages long. If someone remembers or knows the location it would be good to post it.
Stuff like this: That first number in a FC, say it's a 5, is a combination of a 1, which is digital operation, and a 4, which is
enhanced digital display.
Good luck. Hope you find it. It's definitely worth getting and keeping.

Re: Flashcode Options Explained?
Somewhere out there is a Flashcode calculator build with macro's and excel. Latest version I know of was 2009 which included OTAP.
