Astro Modems

Post by jpatrou »

As most should know Motorola discontinued the production of their Astro Modem's.
Raymar-Telenetics, Sacramento, CA, 916-783-1951, www.raymarinc.com, will soon be producing the Astro modem.
I have a vaild quote from Motorola for a DIU with the Astro Modem, the Modem is option X437 and govt. price on the modem is $892.97.
No word yet if the Modem can be purchased directly or if Motorola will be the only supplier.

You can use the DIU & Quantars ASTRO V24 sync serial ports connected to external modems. That way you can do mixed mode operation as well if needed.
