Maxtrac won't change channels

At the moment I can't get to my radio or laptop to post model number and software versions, I've left them about 3 hrs from home. I will be able to retrieve them this coming weekend.

I have a UHF Maxtrac I do know it starts with D44... that I have blanked the board and re-initilized so that it is capable of accessorys so I can set it up for a repeater. (It is a 16 pin). It programs fine with the exeption that it won't change channels or scan. It does work great in the repeater configuration, I just can't change channels nor get it to scan.

If I re-do the board without acc. it does change channels and scans, is this something I'm going to have to live with, or is their something I'm missing or something I can do.
