XTS2500 Low Audio (RX and TX)

Post by Sikdmax »

Have a local PD using about 70 XTS2500s. We supplied them with a lapel mic that we manufacture. Tested 100% great with their mixture of HT1000s and HT1250s.

Units have now switched to XTS2500s and some officers are complaining of low TX volume, but most officers are saying low RX volume through their earpieces.

I dont currently have XTS2500 SW (RVN4181) but I am in the process of trying to get it. In the meantime does anyone know where the settings are in the software to adjust up the audio RX and TX gain? Thanks

Also, the same units tested 100% great and loud with the old HT1000s again, as well as CP200s and a set of Vertexs, so Im almost positive that this is a CPS defined issue.

Of course, the local /\/\ shop has the contract supplying the radios, and they seem to say that theres nothing in the CPS they can find. Im sure thats not the case...

The is an audio tailoring section under the "Radio-Wide" tab. It won't make it louder but it can change the response curve.
