Programming Cable Help

Can someone post a picture of their Motorola XTS USB Programming Cable - specifically the pins. Mine has ceased fuctioning and looking at the pins it appears that 2 are missing.

Here is a pic of a Motorola OEM USB programming cable pinout for the Astro 25 Series portable:



I use my cable all the time so I know it is not missing any pins.

Now if you have a XTS3000/Jedi series USB programming cable,Motorola never made a USB version of the Jedi/XTS3000 cable.

Moto only made a serial port version.

To be entirely accurate, they only ever made a Jedi/XTS3000 cable for a RIB. You can't hook it up directly to a serial port and expect it to work.

Yeah,from your pics,if I am seeing it correctly,bottom from the left row,starting from the last pin,those two upper pins looks like they are missing?You likely can fix it very easily by replacing the pins?

Perhaps someone could repair it. Not me though. I am going to have to get a carrying case for this thing. I normally carry it in my laptop bag with a few other cables.

You might try to obtain some of the heavy industrial zip lock type plastic bags. They make a good carry place to
keep cables like these.

Save yourself some money and put the cable in a small/medium Ziploc plastic bag. Several of these in a computer
carrying case/bag will keep the cables from "interacting" in their own.

Only a few pins are used in the RIB version.
