HLN1262A Lightbar Controller

Post by RadioGuru116 »

I came across one of these that was used to control a Whelen Edge. I have one on my truck which is why i got it. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this unit? Do I need the Maratrac sirem controller to use it? ANY help appreciated

I think that one is just low current switches that control low level circuits in the Whelen or external relays.

Will,

You are correct. The switches - on-off and momentary - are rated at 1 amp or less. The can be confingured as either NO or NC depending on which pin you choose. I have one of these to control my strobe pack and LEDS. I just got some small 12vdc 10 amp relays and went to town with a Radio Shack project box. Works / looks outstanding and the relay box is tiny and tucked under the dash.

How close would that be to an HLN1196B? An ohmeter to the connector pins could tell easily.
