Hand mic on DC remote

I would like to use a hand mic on a T1601 remote. I have tried a Maxtrac mic but cannot get ptt to work. Any suggestions?

The maxtrac mic probably uses electronic switching which might not work with the T1601, can you key it by jumping PTT on the remote to ground? Exactly which model mic are you using?

A Micor mobile mike will work, also the 3000 desk mike, not the newer ones.

That's it! I changed to a micor mic and it works perfectly.
