FLASHPORT DECALS
Years ago at the Miami Hamfest a vendor had a bunch of Motorola radios & parts, but he also had a roll of "flashport" decals. The decals were black, & the word "flashport" with the insignia were in silver. They were attached end to end like a roll of "admit one" tickets. I used the ones I had to fill in the cutouts on System Sabers where a ser # decal would fit. I got a few more in 03 from Nick to fill in the cutouts on a few of my XTS 3000's. Do these decals even exist, & can they be ordered. I would like to fill in a few more cutouts on some newer radios, & these decals are the perfect size. I do not want to print anything on these decals, just to fill in the cutouts for radios with "no tags". Thanks. GARY N4KVE

Gary,
Contact Labelgraphics on their website; they're in Florida. The label number you want is their 471 in black matte (double check me on that) and it comes in the rolls you're talking about. I had ID labels for myself made, as well as some others that I won't describe for personal reasons, but the label stock they use is top notch and if you have them printed they'll even do it in green ink! I imagine they'd be willing to sell you blank stock. When you call them ask for Kelly, if she's still working there.

Thanks Tom. I just looked them up on the internet, & they're 15 minutes from me. Talk about close. GARY N4KVE

OK. I haven't gone to visit them yet, but I'll post my results when I do. I don't think I'll have a problem with them printing my name & callsign. GARY N4KVE
