I bought the CPS for the PR860 from Motorola. It's Revision R01.03. I purchased an aftermarket USB cable from Wiscomm.com. I'm having trouble reading from the radios. I keep getting error #512. It wasn't working, then it was, now it's not again. There's not a special programming mode for this radio is there? Does this sound like an issue with the cable? I have the proper COM port set up in the software.
Thanks!

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
Re: PR860 Programming problems
get rid of the usb cable and get a real rib and cable, they can say it works all they want but you see now that usb is very un-reliable. motorola never made a usb cable for those radios and the cps don't have any usb support, you are having to use a 3rd party driver and taking the chance of bricking your radio if that usb port decides to stop working correctly while you are writing to the radio
