GM380 is turning off and on by himself

Post by asdfg »

I had a problem with the radio GM 380. Fist, radio had "test fail 2" mistake. I tried with a new head, and in the end I managed to programme by the good codeplug , but now the problem is that radio is turnig of and on by himself. I think it's not a problem in a head. I blew hot air through contacts of a processor, but I did not solve the problem, has anyone any idea? Thank you!

Have you tried switching back to the original control head? He might have a bad knob/button on his control head.

Welcome to the club; Get another radio... I stopped selling Waris radios due to "strange" behavior in too many of them; mostly resetting with no reason.
And if you have to service it on component level, you'll need a well trained louse to perform the job.
After spending numerous man-hours of troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and various codeplug configurations, I finally gave up.
I made one step back, to the old reliable GM950, and I keep my clients happy, and my sleep uninterrupted at night.
There are 10 kind of people: Those who understand binary and those who don't.
