Micom-1 RDP help

Hello all

I have just inherited a Micom-1 RDP, the micom-1 in an alumininium suitcase,
I am hoping that there is someone here who has experience with these sets.

When powered up (from mains supply or 12v) the internal fan runs continually, but there is no sound from the loudspeaker, neither is anything displayed on the display.

I've taken the cover off, everything looks good, no ic's missing or burned components.
I can measure 5v on the eprom on the control board, and on ic's on the display board,

I've tried motorola and Mobat but neither seem to have any schematics / service documentation available.
Would anyone here have a set of schematics for the control board and display board that I could look at please. or possible give me an idea of where to start looking.
