I've got a Syntor X from ebay with missing memory module.
Since I don't have a complete radio in my workshop right now,
since the schematic is missing from the service manual,
and since an extensive web search was in vain,
I kindly request you, you good people, if anyone has any info on this top-secret schematic,
or a photo of the bare pcb, or at least a close photo of the 2 sides of the complete pcb, to let me know.

You sure you wouldn't rather just get an orange module? They are not that hard to come by or expensive and then you could just burn the eeprom using a generic programmer and the Paul Bennett software.

For example the 6881060E05-C manual probably has the best memory module information (I don't have access to this particular manual at this time).
Since I have no way to attach the HLN1125 image file (943.2 kb) in this post, please send me a Private Message or an e-mail with an e-mail address and I will e-mail a schematic and board layout from manual revision WMR-0143. I made a nicer 300 dpi color copy to preserve the circuit board layout details.

WB6NVH thanks for your reply, it would be more sensible to get a module "just in case",
but since I didn't, and after 25 days of waiting (it took 5 days to travel thousands of
miles to arrive to Athens Intl airport and 20 days to pass through customs and travel
300 mi north) I couldn't wait another 25 days for something I can built in minutes on
a piece of Veroboard from parts I already have handy on my bench...
Don't forget to send me your photo, to place a statue of yours in the middle of the park
in front of my workshop, in recognition of your help, all that time...

Hi Paul. Lets not get carried away. How about just sneaking in a Motorola batwing on a statue of Hermes instead

You probably do not need the power strobe circuitry and Q1800, R1801 could be omitted (then R1800 to pin 21 WE could be replaced with a direct connection to Vcc) unless you use a Motorola suitcase programmer or program the 2816 EEPROM chip while it is in the memory module. Don't forget the socket for the memory chip to accommodate programming it outside of the module.
