GP300-5T issue

Post by Tonnwerk »

Hi!

I'm trying to program a GP300-5T VHF to some HAM freqs,
with 02.04.00 RSS version.
I've done this before so I know already a few tips and tricks.

Still my issue is,
this radio has already been loaded with HAM freqs, I can read
the codeplug easly, but when trying to load my new codeplug
rss keeps saying 'codeplug to big to fit memory'.
ROM version is 1.

Is this happening because the radio vas programmed before
with older 01.02.03 RSS version?

Any help is much appreciated!

Best regards
Andreas

Yes,it´s a RSS issue. The newer RSS has extended patches. When you create the codeplug, the RSS load patch bits, to fix some bugs, into the codeplug.
Another problem is the very small EEPROM in the ROM 1 radios.
