problem with a moto gm300

problem with a moto gm300

I have a 16ch VHF remote mount GM300, after it has been on for a little while only RX no TX, the speaker will loose audio and the display will not function and buttons will not work. I can turn it off for a few minutes and it will work ok for a few minutes and then same thing. I can move the main unit near the a/c vent and cool it off and that will extend the use, it seems like it over heats even with out transmitting
