XTS5000 FPP Question!!

XTS5000 FPP Question!!

Hello all,

Question...in order for Q52 by itself to work, does the firmware in the radio and the CPS used need to be 9 or lower? Does this mean that the Q52 option will not work by itself if the radio's firmware is upgraded to anything over 9 (like firmware R12 for example)?

This is what I read...is it true?

"The two flashcode items required to do FPP are Q52 and Q53. If you have both you can do FPP with any version of firmware and CPS. However, if your radio has only Q52 then you're limited to nothing higher than version 9 for firmware and CPS."

Yes, you are correct. I had mine re-flashed with FFPP and the firmware upgraded to 12.xx, otherwise; you have to use 9.00 software or you lose the FPP. It stinks because it dropped my channel capaicity down from 1000 to about 512 and I can't "drag and drop" any of the old codeplug. I should have just left 9.00 on one of my computers and kept it the way it was.
