HT750 resets

Post by arlojanis »

I have a UHF HT750 that does a reset about every 4 seconds after being on for 30 to 60 minutes. The LED flashes green and it does the fast double beep. The radio is not being used and is just sitting on a desk. The battery is tight, the contacts look OK, and the power switch feels OK. Any suggestions?

What radios do you own?: HT-1550, HT-1250, CDM 1550

Are you using a Moto Battery or an off brand? I had some of my 12-50's do the sane thing when the company purchased some other Batteries?

It's a battery current issue....
I found over the years, that a battery that is used only for RX purposes, doesn't last as long as one that is worked a little during its lifetime.

I prefer to use a battery eliminator in such cases, and save the batteries for field use over 'desk jockey' usage.
Just my opinion...
