XTS2500 quick call assist

Post by njemt7212 »

Hi ,

I am having a problem with the QC II on my VHF XTS 2500. Firmware is v. 12 and I have CPS 14. I have two channels in a scan list and list only activated when left on one of the two channels.

What I am attempting to accomplish is I have my local EMS frequency in their setup with QC II and then the Local FD frequency with QC II. When not scanning the channel acts as programmed (muted until tones) on both. But when scanning both channels are open and when tones go off neither will decode but I can hear everything. Is there a setting I am forgetting about in the either the scan list or the conventional personality?

thanks

I would check your scan configuration. When you hear the tones come out, are there breaks in the audio? Look at your priority scan settings. If the radio is looking back at another frequency while it is receiving tones, it won't properly decode as QCII.
