Cp200 BAD CHIRP

Post by radioservice »

I have a UHF cp200 with a symptom that tells me it's not passing it's self test.

I have a feeling one of you will tell me to "flash" it....if that is indeed the solution....do you have instructions to "flash" a radio...I've never had to do it...and I have the current RSS version.

Thanks!

Probably a corrupt codeplug. If you have a current software license then you should be able to download the "Codeplug Corruption" tool from MOL, it has about a 60% chance of fixing the radio, assuming the problem is in fact a corrupt codeplug. Also versions of CPS from R05.08 or later have the ability to detect some corruptions upon reading the radio and sometimes can fix those corruptions.

Worst case is a firmware upgrade but you will need the flash adapter in order to be able to perform that
