CDM1550 for 217-222, NFM to standard 5khz deviation mod?

Post by W1HVN »

The 220 CDM only allows for NFM 2.5khz deviation. Is there a way to get the radio to do standard 5k deviation? Im hoping its just a software limitation imposed in firmware and given the inexpensive manufacturing of the boards by Mother M, I am thinking it has the same RF capable components on board. This is a guess, anyone have any info as to this and any ideas on modification to achieve standard deviation?

Thanks

I think you can turn up the deviation up on the narrow settings.

Thanks Frank, got this from another source as well. Can be adjusted in the tuner.

This can be locked if so desired.
