Hello Everyone...
I was just wondering if anyone can tell me whether or not a Motorola NTN7209A charger will work with my XTS3000. I am using aftermarket batteries so that is not a concern. I just want to be sure that I can slide either the radio or the battery into the charger. Thanks in advance for your help!

That is officially a Jedi charger, but it will work. Just don't insert Li on batteries. GARY N4KVE

I had 7209's come NEW with XTS3000, so I'm not sure how accurate that is.
It will work fine as Gary says but DONT insert a LION batt. You risk a fire or at the least ruining your battery.

Re: Motorola NTN7209A Charger
I'll explain my statement. That 7209 charger was introduced for a Jedi well before the XTS3000 even existed. When the 3000 was introduced, Motorola wisely chose to put the charging contacts & slots on the the battery in the same place as a Jedi, so a new charger wouldn't have to be introduced. So while that charger will work with a 3000, it was officially introduced as a Jedi charger. I don't use mine anymore with any of my radios since the Impress & tri-chem chargers came out.
