XTL5000 dual/quad head audio question

Post by RFguy »

On a XTL5000 with dual (or 3 or 4) heads, is the microphone TX audio on one head heard on the speakers of the other heads?

In this application, more than one head will be in a command vehicle. If someone picks up the mic and transmits on the front head, is his transmit audio heard by the operator at the second head in the rear of the vehicle?

I know with the ASTRO Spectra, the answer was no. I was thinking that the XTL5000 now has audio amps in each control head, that they might do audio mixing and provide mixed TX and RX audio out of the speaker.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

I see that theproduct information shows "intercom" between control heads. Anyone know about that function?
