GM300 Programming
A fellow sent me a GM300 for programming. On receiving it and reading it, I see it is UHF and is in the 490-520 range. From all that I have read, there is no practical way to get this radio to work in the ham bands, even doing the SHIFT/Number work around for the frequency. Anyone know of a reasonably practical way to get this to work in the 70cm ham bands? From what I have heard there are quite a few capacitors and circuits that need to be changed. I just want to confirm I have not overlooked anything before I return it to the fellow.

Andy,
You are correct the high split UHF T band GM300 will NOT come down below 480. So looks like one needs to look for the 440 to 470 version.
