What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

Somewhere I read (most likely here), that someone was able to create lower case characters for channel display. I know you can have Key names in lower case, but I cannot figure out the rest...

Anyone have any other luck

I know that it's possible. I've seen one radio where it had been done by some hacking, but the owner didn't reveal the secret to me. Seems like it's not all that big a deal to me. It's not like Motorola would try to lock you up for having lowercase channel names!

Just a thought...search for alphanumeric strings in the .odb file...ABCDEF, etc...and change them to lowercase. Just to see what happens.

Hello from a Lower Case Channel Name Astro Saber Owner.

The Dreaded "Lab" (which does NOT exist, of course,) is needed.

I do not remember the exact menu, but the option is "Upper Case Only Display" I belive.

Just set to "Disabled" and reprogram the radio.

Good Luck!
