Can't Read/Write Astro 25 w/serial cable

OK.....

I've got about a dozen XTL2500 dash mount radios, brand new F/O with Firmware R15.00.00 and DSP 15.00.00.

Can't read/write/clone ANY of them with the GCAI serial cable. They read/write/clone PERFECTLY with the GCAI USB cable.

Multiple cables, multiple computers. This came to my attention as the bench manager when the field tech brought the radios back from a field install 200 miles away. He was miffed, but thought his cable was bad. Nope.

Motorola says "I dunno...never heard this before."

Anybody?
