[tone panel on a quantar]

Post by icom98 »

Fellow Forum Members,

Looking for anyone who has sucessfully interfaced a tone panal to a Quantar. I'd like to put my Zetron 38A on this repeater before putting it into service.

Thank you in advance,
Larry

If you're looking to use it as a community repeater, see this thread:

If you are using it to count PL's, a simple connection to the discriminator audio and COR should be all that is needed.

The full-size Quantar maintenance manual has a whole chapter on this subject. In general (and from memory), you have to make some electrical connections and you need to do some wildcard programming to set up the required audio paths at start up. (Don't forget to specify both cold and warm starts.)
