Does anyone have the pin outs info for the DB9 connector on the 4000 Series Telephone/Radio Headset interface? Zetron Part. # 950-9439 Rev. 2
I am trying see if it’s possible to switch one of these units with our old RadioMate interfaces.
Also need a part number for the 6 pin header plug for the telephone connector. I can’t seem to locate anything at Mouser or DigiKey.
While I’m at it what are the “Sound IN and OUT" jacks functions.

Pin 1: Ground Reference Ground (the connector body is chassis ground)
Pin 2: Input to TRHI PTT In
Pin 3: Input to TRHI Tel Connection
PIn 4: Output from TRHI PTT Out
Pin 5: Output from TRHI Mouth
PIn 6: Input to TRHI +12 Volts
Pin 7: Input to TRHI Ear
Pin 8: Output from TRHI Ear Hook SW
Pin 9: Output from TRHI Mic Hook Sw
Can't help you on the part number for the 6 pin header;
Sound In & Sound Out:
"The Sound In (J3) and Sound Out (J2) connectors are 1/8 inch stereo jacks suitable for direct connection to a computer sound card using a cable with 1/8 inch stereo jacks at both ends. With appropriate software, these outputs can be used to monitor an/or record telephone radio audio. The inputs can be used to send audio, usually prerecorded announcements, from the computer to the telephone caller. If the operator holds PTT for the duration of the message, prerecorded audio can also be sent to the radio."
J2: Output to Sound Card; Line In, 1/8 inch stereo jack. Tip = Telephone Audio = Left Channel, Ring = Radio Audio = Right Channel, Sleeve = Audio Common
J3: Input from Sound Card; Line Out, 1/8 inch stereo jack. Tip = Telephone Audio = Left Channel, Ring = Radio Audio = Right Channel, Sleeve = Audio Common
Oh, and BTW, if you can, use a different cable than silver-satin flat 6 conductor, or CAT5 wires on that P1 connector; try some stranded wire, and a very short jumper ( 6 or 8 inches) to a 6 position 6 conductor modular jack (like a surface mount biscuit jack) mounted just behind the TRHI; then put a proper 6P6C modular plug on the cable that runs toward the telephone instrument; the wire in silver-satin cable is so fine, and if someone happens to reach under the desk and feel around, it's too easy to break those connections and then you're in the soup. Save yourself some heartache & try to make it 'minimally bustable' (it's beyond most mortals to make things completely un-bustable. )

If I may a question or two;
Are the Telephone connections duplicated in the DB9? Or is a connection to a 4000 series console with built in telephone, or Zetron 911 PSAP system?
The 6 pin header shows ear and mouth Telco connections along with the off hook switch pair.
Seems as if the 6 pin header plug is just a parallel connection to a telephone handset???
I think i have located a part number for the header plug " Phoenix MSTB2,5/6-ST-5,08" it seems to be the same as an L5 series header including the header keys.

Yes, the 6 pin header just has the TRHI act in parallel with a normal telephone handset.
And, I don't think the DB9 connections equivalent or anyhting; the 6 pin takes/gives balanced audio, and the DB9 is referenced to ground pin, #1
