Hi All,
I'm getting ready to put some antennas into my 2004 Dodge 2500 roof. Just curious if it's all just flat metal under there or if there is a support structure that I will have to map out so that my NMO mounts miss that part of it.
Thanks,
-Steve

There's almost certain to be support structures. You need to drop the headliner at least far enough to visualize the underside before drilling.
Re: Dodge 2500 Roof
Just did one of these. Remove the dome light, and the centre reinforcement should be visible theough the opening.

Thanks for the heads up. I figured there would be support structure under there as it's a quad cab. I'm going to place (4) NMO mounts and a GPS/WIFI antenna also.

Re: Dodge 2500 Roof
If you go rearward of the center dome light, I believe you will find a good patch of single skin without support structure. I just installed a pair of antennas on my '02 3500 and that's what I found. I know the body styles are different, but Dodge tends to stick to similar construction techniques.WA6OXN wrote:Thanks for the heads up.
