MTX9000

I have an MTX9000 that was programmed in the 900 hamband prior to me purchasing the radio. I would like to change some frequencies and I have the programmed to do this, however when I read the radio and try to change the frequencies it reverits back to the commerical band split. I had several folkls send me a modied ODB file but It still does not work. I have looked at Hex editing files on this site but I don't understand what lines and numbers need to be changed. I don't want to mess up the radio by doing something to the software that I don't understand. Is there anyone here that has done this before that can help me?
