Mods: Please move to System Infrastructure.

I have the pinout at work and if I can remember, I'll post it here tomorrow. Hopefully someone will come up with it in the meantime. The pinout I have is the wiring for an RJ45-DB9 adapter for the PC end, then it's just a straight through Ethernet cable from the CIE to the PC.

Lets try this.
  • DB9F <-> RJ-45
  • 1 ---->1 (Blue)
  • N/C ---->2 (Orange)
  • 6 ---->3 (Black)
  • 2 ---->4 (Red)
  • 4 ---->5 (Green)
  • 3 ---->6 (Yellow)
  • N/C ---->7 (Brown)
  • 5 ---->8 (Slate/Gray/White)
Essentially when you buy one of these adapter hoods, you get a package that contains a connector hood with an RJ45 in it that has colored leads that have female pins on the ends. You also get a DB9F connector to insert the pins into. Using the above chart, the rightmost column shows which colors get inserted into the DB9F pin sockets listed in the leftmost column.

The provided pinout works for both CIE to PC and CEB RS-232 to PC (so you can program the CEB with it and then hook it up to the CIE and run your OP.
