MT2000 VHF PA

Post by firemedix123 »

I was having trouble "talking out" on my VHF MT2000 I was hearing the local repeater come back but my audio going in was nothing but static. I swapped the PA board from one of my VHF "D" HT1000's and the MT2000 seems to be working fine now. My question is, is it ok to swap the RF decks like that? Also where can I find one to put back in my HT1000 to get it back up and working? As usual any help is greatly appreciated!!!

That is fine, you should do a alinement on the radio though as the softpot values will change from board to board. To find another RF board just put a want add out here on the board.

Ten-four an that, you HAVE to re align the transmitter and receiver softpot settings to match the new RF board.
