HT750 retrofit kit question HLN9984B

Post by MTS2000des »

anybody ever ordered one? current price is $79 on MOL. Is this the complete replacement "plug and play" DTMF housing with all escutcheons and electronics? Part number is HLN9984B.

Considering doing an upgrade to an HT750 I have and curious if this is the ticket.

For questions like this I always call Motorola Parts Dept or Technical Support.800-638-5119
I had similar inquiry about the HT1250 Ltd retrofit kit.

tnx, when you say label I ASSume you mean the "HT750" label? But it does include the Motorola nameplate label and top escutcheon, and PTT assembly correct? Just trying to confirm, as I'll likely have to order the front cover label through my MSS as it appears to be "restricted" from my account on MOL. Not a big deal, they usually get stuff in 2-3 days.

Reread your post. There are no electronics included. Are you trying to add dtmf to a plain HT750?

Hmm, I am not sure now what you do get with this kit. Might be worth a call to parts ID to see if they know. I know with the "cosmetic kit you get all the plastic, knobs escutions everything but the actual model label. Motorola is painted on them now. Dont think they were originaly.

That's the goal. The part number given is from the detailed service manual, and it leads me to believe it is the complete front housing. I'll give parts ID a call tomorrow and confirm. I'll post the results.

per parts ID, this is a "plug and play" retrofit kit, complete with ALL electronics, keypad board, keypad, escutcheons and nameplate. Just install onto radio chassis, plug in, and read radio with CPS and enable the keypad. Only compatible with 16 channel versions. I ordered one ($84) and it should be here by the end of the week. I will confirm when I get it in my hand. Nice way to add more function buttons to your HT750, and get a new housing to boot. Really not a bad deal, and I need DTMF to control my repeater.

Okay so I am sorry to really dig up an old topic, but I assume that years later you have recieved this part by now.

I am asking becasue I have an HT750 that I would like to convert to the DTMF model and I was wondering if this kit did actually come complete with the electronics, and all of the Nameplates. Im just trying to say on buying more parts than I need or having to pay for shipping twice.

Thanks,
