Dual-Head PM1500 Volume Control

Post by Garyf629 »

I do not have a lot of experience in programming PM1500's. I am setting up a dual-head radio. There are 3 settings for transceiver volume control: Disable, Control Head A, Control Head B. I understand volume control follows the A/B, what happens if it is disabled?

Any other hints anyone has would be appreciated!

Trial and error, program it up and test it with each setting. See what it does and let us know.

Hello all

I'm also new to the PM1500 radios and just installed a dual head in a new ambulance. I was told the radio was corrected programmed for the dual head setup. I'm getting an error message "FL 01-90 remote head maintenance issue". I spoke with Motorola tech and he advised tryong to reprogram the heads.

Anyone know about this issue ???
Help Please !!!!!

thanks

He may be referring to the control head sync feature in the CPS

Well with the CH sync all you would need is the CPS and program cable. Personally I've had nothing but problems trying to use the USB cable to sync the CH, RS232 has always worked well for me. Others have had success with the USB cable. The CH Sync feature is in the CPS
