Hi Folks,
I've got an xts2500 - a 'real' radio purchased from Mot - that you cannot enter modes into the scan list. When you enter the scan program mode, you can use RCL to view, DEL to delete, and SEL to enter a mode if you rotate the 16 ch knob. If you use the Left or Right arrow button, you can rotate through the available modes, but the Up and Down buttons do nothing but Beep.
Another guy I talked to said that he has a couple of them that do the same thing, even though they are programmed identically to others in his fleet.
This sounds like a bug. Anybody else seen this?
Thanks,
Tim
XTS2500 can't enter scan channels

Re: XTS2500 can't enter scan channels
Any conventional personalities used must have a scan list assigned to them. So for example, if you are using 1 conventional personality for 16 channels, then conventional personality 1 has to be assigned a scan list, or you wont be able to scan any of the 16 channels that it's assigned to.
Hope that helps,

Stupidity creates job security!
If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Re: XTS2500 can't enter scan channels
Hi Marc,
Yes, the conventional personality has scan list 2 assigned to it.
I can add scan channels, as long as they are accessible via the channel selector switch on the top. I can't add using the arrow keys.
As far as I can see, it is programmed identically to two other 2500's that I have here.
